Ming was Dr. Matsumori's lover. She died while giving birth to a clone. She is one of four characters in the series who could conceivably have been the Dr. M referred to by Toyota, along with Dr. Allison Mann and both of her parents. She believes in the controversial theory of morphic resonance which may have been a contributing factor to the gendercide.
